1. Why should I hire Star Risk?

Star Risk will audit your risk management program, make significant program and coverage improvements, and will save you money.

2. I already use an insurance broker, why do I need to hire Star Risk?

Simply put, no broker can perform the same services that we can perform. Star Risk is in demand because we provide a better solution then the standard, push down model brokers and insurers use today.

3. I discussed hiring Star Risk with my broker and they tried to persuade me not to.  Why doesn’t my broker like the idea of hiring Star Risk?

Most brokers worry that their financial interests will be jeopardized by hiring an expert insurance consulting firm.  Star Risk has earned a reputation of being fair and honest in our dealings, something that has relieved brokers that have worked with our firm.  Our goal is only to achieve the best for you, our client, which should be the common goal of a good broker and consultant.

4. Why do I need Star Risk when I handle my own insurance and risk management program?

Just as we couldn’t do what you do in industry, no one does what Star Risk can do in safety and risk management.   We consult every day and this is our livelihood.  As good as we have found some safety and risk management programs after audit, we have yet to find one that we could not improve and add value.

5. Are Star Risk Consultants experts in safety and risk management?

Yes.  Every consultant that works  for Star Risk is fully licensed and are insurance professionals.  In addition, our consultants have engineering backgrounds, various insurance designations, and/or safety certifications and have had accomplished careers in manufacturing, healthcare, consulting, multi-national corporations and brokerage firms.

6. Is Star Risk an insurance broker?

No.  Star Risk is not an insurance broker.  We do not contract with insurance companies and we do not act as their agents.  We receive no fees from insurance companies or other third parties, no commissions for premiums paid, and receive fees only from our clients for the expert advise and services we provide.

7. Are Star Risk consultants truly independent?

Yes.  Our independence from insurers and brokers is what prevents conflicts of interest and allows us to obtain and compare products from insurers across the country.  This is what sets us apart in the industry.

8. Is there a specific type of business that uses your services?

No.  Star Risk consultants have provided consulting services for private equity firms, national accounting firms, large publicly traded companies, and private organizations in many industries across the world.

9. I have a good relationship with my broker.  Can I still hire Star Risk?

Absolutely.   We work with many brokers and respect their role in an insurance program.  We look to partner with every member of our risk management team, creating synergies and value for you.

10. I have a risk manager. Should I still hire Star Risk?

Absolutely.   Many of our clients have risk managers.  We supplement their role and provide additional professional support to achieve even better results for our client firms.  The best risk managers seek our services realizing that Star Risk’s intellectual capital is unsurpassed and our support can only improve a program in terms of coverage and pricing.  We often work with risk managers to provide an independent audit of a firm’s risk management program.

11. What can I expect for my fees?

Star Risk will provide expert, objective professional advice and services.  Our goal is to obtain a long term ROI of 10 or greater.  For every one dollar of fees paid to Star Risk , we strive to provide return savings of $10 to our client.

12. How does Star Risk charge for services?

Typically we charge an annual retainer paid on a monthly basis as we will oversee your risk management program throughout the year.  We will also discuss a percent of savings contract upon request.

13. How much does Star Risk charge for your services?

Our fees vary based on the size of your firm, the complexity of the program, and the need for services.   We will provide a free audit of your program and provide a quote for your consideration.
